Retaining & sound walls for Bay Area hillsides.

Engineered retaining and sound walls on Bay Area hillsides: drilled piers, rebar cages, board-formed finishes, and drainage that keeps walls standing.

About this work

A retaining wall is a structure, not landscaping — it holds a hillside back for decades or it fails in the first wet winter. The wall projects below were built to engineered drawings with drilled piers, tied rebar cages, and drainage behind the wall, including a sound wall at Diablo Country Club in Danville and tiered hillside systems in the East Bay.

On sloped lots we often build walls as part of a larger project — cutting a flat pad for an ADU, terracing a backyard, or protecting a foundation from an uphill neighbor’s runoff.
